The Pet-Sitter With More than a Decade’s Worth of Experience

Hello, my name is Lynn Cvitko, and I am a dog-loving owner and the sole proprietor of Bonez & Katnip Pet Services. Here I am pictured with my 12-year-old gal Dana. After a lengthy career as a Social Worker in child–parent relations, I opened Bonez & Katnip Pet Services in 2011 to address the growing demand for reliable, professional, and caring pet care services for pet owners in Burlington and Oakville. But my first introduction to pet care started many years ago when I rescued Dana and Loca, her best canine friend, from dire circumstances in British Columbia. After Loca passed away, like many pet parents, I worried Dana was lonely and depressed.

Unfortunately, I was not in a position to get another dog, but I could bring dogs to Dana to increase her canine social circle, so I opened up my home to care for dogs, and I have not looked back. My business grows out of the love and respect I have for animals, and I will always treat your pet as I do my own.
Also, I am a member of the Burlington Humane Society Pet Therapy Program, Mercy For Animals, and People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals, and I am a monthly sponsor of Soi Dog.

I am committed to continuing education regarding pet care for your pet’s well‑being regularly participating in webinars and skills development.

I offer fully bonded and insured pet care services for your pet through PROfur Insurance. I am a member of Pet Sitters International the largest professional and educational pet-sitting organization worldwide. I am a graduate of the St. John’s Ambulance CPR and Pet First Aid program, and I also have a clear background check certificate.

I understand that one of the hardest parts of any vacation or time away is deciding what to do with your pet, and if you travel regularly, it can be even more difficult for you and your animal.

Cats and dogs appreciate consistency, so when you’re considering finding a dog sitter, a cat sitter, or a dog walker, I believe it’s best to provide you and your pet with the same dependable pet sitter or dog walker. That is why I try to accommodate your schedule as best I can and schedule you with the same person every time, if possible.

The Initial Meet and Greet Consultation

Now that you have decided you are interested in using our services, it’s time to schedule an initial “meet and greet” consultation. The “meet and greet” is always free of charge and allows you to meet one of our pet sitters or dog walkers and decide if you are comfortable with allowing us into your home and for us to become acquainted with your pet’s routine and detail our services. The “meet and greet” is a compulsory process, and reservations will not be confirmed until it has taken place and a pet service or dog walking contract has been signed.
